For our next instalment of the NOMAD Sydney Wine Dinner Series, we are delighted to feature Frankland Estate, a pioneering winery from Western Australia.

Family owned and operated since 1988, Frankland Estate is synonymous with the Great Southern, one of the world’s most remote wine regions and home to their renowned Isolation Ridge vineyard.

The Smith family has farmed their land organically since 2005, a practice they credit for enhancing the acid balance of their grapes and enriching the flavour profiles of their wines.

They are particularly celebrated for their exceptional dry Riesling, considered by many to be among the finest in Australia. Their signature red, Olmo’s Reward, is a highly acclaimed Bordeaux-style blend that exemplifies the potential of Cabernet Franc in Australia’s cool climate regions.

Guests will have the opportunity to taste the current releases and select back vintages of these wines, showcasing their age-worthy quality and potential, along with a curated selection from their portfolio.

Our host for the evening will be Hunter Smith, second-generation owner and steward of this remarkable estate. Join Hunter as he shares stories of the Great Southern and presents his wines alongside a bespoke menu crafted by NOMAD’s Head Chef, Lakhan Bhounsle.
